More Patience and Compassion
As the fires spread and the smoke affects the air quality in a wide swath across California (north and now south); those of us who are lucky enough not to be evacuated from the fires' path have an opportunity to step up. What can you do? Keep people informed. Stay balanced and kind. Don't complain. If you have any space at all out of the fires' path, offer it to evacuees. Make some nourishing meals and drop them off at shelters. Assist in pet rescue. If you have the skills, assist in fire-fighting, psychological counseling, veterinary care, or nursing. Send reiki, prayers, and white light to the afflicted areas and people affected. And most of all, be patient and compassionate. The United States needs more patience and compassion right now.
